ورفع المتظاهرون لافتاتٍ كُتِب على بعضها: "عدو الديمقراطية" و"وزير الجريمة".

ويتظاهر إسرائيليّون أسبوعيّاً منذ كانون الثاني للتنديد بخطّة الإصلاح وبحكومة نتنياهو المتّهم بالفساد في سلسلةٍ من القضايا.
وأعلن رئيسُ الوزراء الإسرائيليّ في 27 آذار، "تعليقَ" المشروع لإعطاء "فرصة للحوار"، لكنَّ التَّعبئة ضدّ الإصلاح لا تزالُ قويّة.

وفي الأسبوع الماضي، تراجعت التّعبئة على خلفيّة أعمال عنف بين إسرائيل وفصائل فلسطينيّة في قطاع غزّة، أودت بـ34 فلسطينيّاً وإسرائيليّاً وانتهت بوقف لإطلاق النار السبت الماضي بعد خمسة أيّامٍ من الاشتباكات.

وبالنسبة إلى حكومة بنيامين نتنياهو، وهي واحدةٌ من أكثر الحكومات يمينيّةً في تاريخ إسرائيل، يهدفُ إصلاحُ النّظام القضائيّ خصوصاً إلى إعادة توازن السّلطات عبر تعزيز صلاحيات البرلمان على حساب المحكمة العليا التي تعتبرها مسيّسة.
وفي المقابل، يرى منتقدو الإصلاح أنّه يُهدّد بانحراف استبداديّ.
ويجري الرئيس الإسرائيليّ، إسحق هرتسوغ، منذ شهرٍ محادثاتٍ مع مُمثّلين للحكومة والمعارضة من أجل الوصول إلى حلّ وسطٍ حول بنود الإصلاح.
